She was predeceased by : her parents, Dr. U. G. and Jean Crandell (Ratliff); her husband Earl Childers; and her great grandchild Wesley Walker. She is survived by : her children, Mark Maynard, Scott Maynard and Jacqueline Shepherd (Melvin) of Pontiac, Ill; her stepdaughter Theresa Johnson (John) of Pontiac, Ill; her close friend Marion Piper of Van Buren; and her grandchildren, John Holzhauer (Hilary) of Donellson, IA, Jeremy Holzhauer of Pontiac, Dustin Holzhauer (Lindsey) of Bloomington, Ashley Boyd of Pontiac, Holli Bogdonas (Erik) of Bloomington, Jeff Pica of Birch, Kayla Walker of London, KY., Zachery Ellis (Sophie), Jeffery Ellis, Taylor Sullivan and Nicholas Ellis. She is also survived by twenty-two great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
