He was predeceased by : his parents, John Roger Smick and Virda Opal Davis Smick; his former life partner Brenda Kay Smick (Corgan); his brothers, John D. Smick (Glen), Herschel E. Smick and Jerry D. Smick; and his sisters-in-law, Katherine Smick and Lucille Smick.
He is survived by : his daughters, Deborah K. Turley (Steve) of Van Buren and Stella L. Clemons (Darryl) of Owensville; his grandchildren, Alison Smialek (Dan), Ariel Heise (Shaun), Amelia Helvey (Brandon), Richard Winchester (Jeanna) and Megan Zimmer (Tyson); his great grandchildren, Sophia, Corbin, Aiden, Presley, Jada, Jillian, Dexter, Adelyn, Alaina and Myles; his wife Muriel Taylor Smick (Rogers); his daughters, Susan Griffin (Dewayne) and Melissa McQuay (Darrell); his grandchildren, Keysha Augustine (Josh), Kaleb Dodd, Katun Dodd (Leighanne), Hannah Wadley (Chris), Heather Watson (Lee), Hali Petero (Justin), Hunter McQuay (Laycie) and Jessica McQauy; and his great grandchildren, Trevor, Sawyer, Lawson, River, Hudson, Adalee, Ella, Samuel and Thayer.
