He was predeceased by : his parents, Lexie Sweeten and Jessie Carl Sweeten; and his siblings, Roy and Rosella. He is survived by : his wife Nancy Marie Sweeten; his children, Cindy Marie Sweeten, Gary Carl Sweeten (Carole Renee) and Daren Lynn Sweeten (Suzanne Jene); his grandchildren, Alicia Joiner (Scott), Stacey Taylor (James), Aaron Sweeten (Heather), Chelcea Sweeten (Tommy Doss), Coleman Sweeten (Kelsey), Kinley Sweeten (Mark Sheridan), Daulton Sweeten, Easton Sweeten and Campbell Sweeten; his great grandchildren, Carter Hawley, Kamryn, Devon, Tia, LaNiya, Anastacia, Gavin, Isaac, Gracie, Charlie, Paisley Sweeten, Lylah, Hazel and Tripp Burns; his siblings, Bob, Wanda and Larry; and his siblings-in-law, John Baxter and Marty Satterfield.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baue Funeral Home - Cave Springs (3950 W Clay St, St Charles, MO 63301). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at the St. Charles Memorial Gardens (3950 W Clay St, St Charles, MO 63301).
