He was predeceased by : his parents, Lemuel Gifford and Ruby Gifford (Sollars) of Williamsville. He is survived by : his spouse Shelby Jean Bearden; his siblings, Dr. Vernon Gifford (Pete) of Starkville, Lowell Gifford (Lynda) of Oceanside, James L. Gifford (Pat) of Jeff City and Jane Gifford of Poplar Bluff; and his nephew Robert Vester. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Sidney's memory to the Paragould Children's Home, 5515 Walcott Rd. Paragould, AR 72450.
