It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman L. Gillespie (Abbeville, Mississippi), born in Bruce, Mississippi, who passed away on August 29, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, A. L. Gillespie (Lora Overby Gillespie) and Lora Gillespie; his sister Bobbye Ruth Blomeley; and his niece Debbie Blomeley. He is survived by : his wife Johnnie Vance Gillespie of Oxford, Mississippi; his sons, Van Gillespie of Brandon and John Gillespie of Oxford; his grandchildren, Mary Beth, Emma Cate, Dylan, Madison and Trae; his sister Edna Wayne Daniel; his nephews, Bill Daniel of New Albany, Mississippi., Reggie Blomeley and Nolan Spencer; and his niece Amy Spencer.
