Gillespie (Abbeville, Mississippi), born in Bruce, Mississippi, who passed away on August 29, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, A. L. Gillespie (Lora Overby Gillespie) and Lora Gillespie; his sister Bobbye Ruth Blomeley; and his niece Debbie Blomeley. He is survived by : his wife Johnnie Vance Gillespie of Oxford, Mississippi; his sons, Van Gillespie of Brandon and John Gillespie of Oxford; his grandchildren, Mary Beth, Emma Cate, Dylan, Madison and Trae; his sister Edna Wayne Daniel; his nephews, Bill Daniel of New Albany, Mississippi., Reggie Blomeley and Nolan Spencer; and his niece Amy Spencer.
