She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon White and Berta Lee White; and her brother Gordon White, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Carless Evans; her sisters, Sarah Ollie McDonald and Jeannine Shearin; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Conger of Greely, CO and James Evans. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and extended family.

The family suggest in lieu of flowers donations be made to Ebenezer Ministries of Bailey, MS.
