She was predeceased by: her parents, Rodney Polk and Estelle Armstrong Polk; her husband Kermit Hathorn; her daughter Linda "Pete" Buckley; her stepfather Johnnie Davis; her sister Wendy Sanfilippo; and her stepsiblings, Dixie Holland, Sarah Nell Kerley, Paul, Pat and Rex Davis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley Hathorn Puckett (Judson) of Bassfield and Janice Hathorn West (Joe) of Bassfield; her son-in-law Joe Buckley of Prentiss; her grandchildren, Pam Johnson, Anita Shoemake (Glendale), Lynn Scallorn (David), JoAnna Pierce (Andy), Bryan West (Alisha), Rodney West (Reva) and John David West (Caroline); and her great great grandchild Miss Charlie Ann Backstrom. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the L. L. Roberts Memorial Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
