With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Claudia Henry McMullen Burnett of Bay Springs, Mississippi, born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, who passed away on March 4, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by : her mother Carolyn Jackson McMullen; her husband John Robert Burnett, Sr. (Bob); and her siblings, Betty McMullen Harrington and Bobby Glenn Allred. She is survived by : her children, John Robert Burnett, Jr. (Clare) of Port Gibson, MS, Betsy Burnett McCurdy (John) of Oxford, MS and Chrissy Burnett Zollenberg (David) of New York City, NY; her siblings, William Lucas McMullen, Jr., George Wayne Allred and Sylvia Allred Adamson; her grandchildren, Dr. John Robert Burnett, III (Kelsey), Dr. Luke Burnett (Caitlin), Grace Caroline Burnett, J. W. McCurdy (Megan) and Meg McCurdy; and her caregivers, Judy Moody, Jo Ann Moody Thompson, Doug Gammage, Alexis Campbell and Laquita Moody. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
