He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony "Caveman" Taranto and Louise Kulivan Taranto; and his brothers, Arnold Taranto and Wally Taranto. He is survived by: his children, Darrell Taranto and Tori Taranto Davidson (Tony); his granddaughters, Lauren Taranto Braden (Seth), Katie Taranto and Shelby Taranto; his sister Toni Taranto Padgett; and his grandson Dallas Gollott.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Lord Is My Help, Ocean Springs.
