She was predeceased by: her mother Barbara Claire L'Herisse Hayes; her brothers, Hubert Hayes Jr. and Rodney Hayes; and her nephew Nollie Jakob Griffin. She is survived by: her father Hubert Hayes of New Orleans, Louisiana.; her husband Reginald King; her daughters, Michelle Hutson-Crawford (Rasheeda) and Rochelle Dunbar (Derrick); her grandchildren, Steven Ramsey Jr., Noah Ramsey and Braylon Brown; her pet Marley Jean Crawford; and her siblings, Donna Anderson (Donald), Patrice Griffin (Nollie), Novell Hayes (Coreth), Alvin Hayes (Connie), Clinton Hayes (Vicki), Darryl Hayes (Chaundra), Rene Hayes (Hollie), Scott Hayes (Camille) and Terry Hayes (Lindi). She is also survived by her in-laws; and a host of deeply loved nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
