He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Prentiss, Sr. and Lylia Henry Prentiss; and the mother of his children Tammy Prentiss. He is survived by: his sons, Chris Prentiss of Cullman, AL and Matthew Prentiss (Kristina) of Tupelo; his siblings, Alan Prentiss (Angie) of Booneville and Malinda Prentiss of Booneville; and his grandchildren, Lanah, Alyssa, Carson, Jackson, Addison and Shelby Prentiss. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kesler Funeral Home, Inc. (114 Gaston Rd, Booneville, MS 38829). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Baldwyn Chapel.
