He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Ponder and Ophelia Hudson Norton; his wife Patricia Norton; and his son Jerry Wayne Norton Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Norton (David) and Crystal Norton; and his grandchildren, Jacob Norton, Steven Sims, Destanie Magers and Evan Frederick. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
