In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Santana had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Santana may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry C. Whiteside and Sandra Young; her grandparents, Lucain, Maudine Whiteside, Lee Earnest and Irmadell Young; and her aunt Betty Nabors.
She is survived by: her husband Willard Ray Friar; her daughters, Chasniya LaShay Young of Booneville and Diamond Cierra Monique Sullivan of Booneville; and her sisters, Jackie Whiteside of Memphis, TN and Peggy Whiteside of Tupelo.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kesler Funeral Home, Inc. (116 S 3rd St, Baldwyn, MS 38824). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Baldwyn Chapel.
