He was predeceased by: his son Damian Atkins; his parents, Jake Atkins and Roberta Atkins; his siblings, Lewis Atkins, Daniel Atkins, Willie Clyde Atkins, Paul Atkins, James Atkins, Bertha Mae Gilbert, Fannie Mae Ruffin, Jewel Ruth Daniels and Mary Jane Pace Clendale; and his granddaughters, Alexis Hart of Las Vegas, NV and Jasmine Case of Louisville, KY.
He is survived by: his spouse Caryl Roybal (Atkins); his nephew Nathaniel Whaley; his grandson Jordan Spikert of Las Vegas, NV; his sister Barbara Ealy; his sister-in-law Mertis Atkins; his brother Andrew Atkins; his aunt Dixie Sparkman; and his close friend Ira D-Boy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
