He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmadge Dewitt and Jewell Inez Robinson (Jones); his wife Claudia Jean Robinson; his children, James Robert Robinson, Jr. and Tammy Lynn Shumock (Mark); and his siblings, Charles Edward Robinson (Dot), Talmadge "Bud" Dewitt Robinson, Jr. (Bobbie) and Linda Joyce Sexton (Marion).
He is survived by: his children, Phillip Dewitt Robinson (Maggie) and Teresa Robinson McLaughlin (Mac); his siblings, Benny Lee Robinson, Carl Richard Robinson (Pat) and Verna Robinson Brock; and his grandchildren, Forrest Robert Robinson, James Ledger Robinson, Stephanie Robinson Sanderford (Joe), Katelyn Robinson, Krystal McDaniels (Garrett), Kutter McLaughlin, Rachel Sisson, Courtney Richie (Dylan) and Daniel Sisson (Megan). He is also survived by great grandchildren (and counting), and one great-great grandchild.
