He was predeceased by: his parents, Finner Barry and Winnie Lott Latham; his son Joseph Samuel Latham; his sister Joy Knight; and his brother-in-law Haywood Britt.
He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, David Latham (Susan), Dawn Ewing (Tom) and Lisa Latham; his grandchildren, Rebecca Ewing, Thomas Ewing (Maggie), Samuel Latham (Rebecca) and Clare Swatley (Jake); his great grandchildren, Ellis, George Ewing and Avery Latham; his siblings, Bobby Latham (Julia Helen), Billy Latham (Linda) and Betty Britt; and his brother-in-law Glen Knight. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be donated to the MSU Foundation for the Joseph Latham Memorial Scholarship for disabled students (P.O. Box 6149, MS State, MS, 39762), to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, to First Baptist Church Brandon, or to another charity of choice.
