She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Layton and Eileen Overby Layton; her husband Don Malone; and her sister Billie Evelyn Knight. She is survived by: her children, Melissa Malone and Kevin Malone (Elisha); her stepchildren, Steve Malone (Felcia) and Bridgett Carmody (Brian); her grandchildren, Logan Malone and Kaitlyn Malone; and her sibling's children, Tim Knight (Lynne), Sylvia Neely (Vernon) and Michael Knight (Candace).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
