He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willie Daniel and Emma C. Byrd; his sister Elnora Johnson; his grandsons, Alex, Aaron and Marcus; his children, Lassandra Harrison (Antonio) of Montgomery, IL, Alex Byrd of Braxton, MS and Aaron Byrd (Naki) of Byram, MS; his daughter-in-law Misty Byrd of Canton, MS.; and his siblings, Dorothy Fairley of Braxton, MS, Annie Halfacre of Fayette, IN, Ruby Shoulders (William) of Florence, MS, Mary Smith (Roy) of Georgetown, MS and David Byrd of Braxton, MS. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews & friends.
