It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Lynette Earl Lofton of Brookhaven, Mississippi, who passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Sykes and Dorothy Sykes; her husband Charles Ray Lofton; her grandparents, Ernest, Autie Bee Boswell and Amanda Morris; and her grandson Cole Lofton.
She is survived by: her children, Amy Greene (Barbara) of Cartersville, GA., Charles "Shorty" Lofton (Michelle) of Brookhaven, MS. and Della Elizabeth Lofton of Pompano Beach, FL.; her sister Sheila Diane Earl Davis of McComb, MS.; and her grandchildren, Garrett Lofton of Brookhaven, Morgan King of Brookhaven, Lily Grace Lofton of Brookhaven and Cash Lofton of Brookhaven. She is also survived by friends, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Union Hall Baptist Church (1242 Nola Rd NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
