He is survived by: his wife Ruth Shoemake Bailey; his daughter Kay Faulkenbery (Dwight); his sister Lanetia B. Richardson; his grandchildren, Wendy Smith (Bill) and Sam Thomas (Nikki); and his great grandchildren, Jordan Smith, Hardy Smith, Bo Thomas, Jeb Thomas and Maci Thomas.
