It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Marie Lafayette of Calhoun City, Mississippi, who passed away on December 21, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Rubin Steed and Maurine Burroughs Steed; her son James Earl Morgan; and her brothers, Kenneth Steed, Wayne Steed, David Steed, Rayford Steed and Gary Steed.
She is survived by : her children, Janice Marie Hughes of Pontotoc, Pamela Knight (Bill) of Calhoun City, Wessie Johnson (Scott) of Pontotoc and Rodney Wayne Morgan (Carolyn); her sisters, Dinah King (Robert) of Big Creek, Wanda Hughes (Ron) and Chandra Baggett (Jack) of New Gauley; and her mother-in-law Lucille Lafayette. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
