It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvester Stewart of Carriere, Mississippi, who passed away on November 20, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jordan Stewart and Everal Henley; his son James Stewart; and his brothers, Huey Stewart and Audel "Sonny" Stewart.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Rebecca Hill (Dewayne), Angela Smith (Billy) and Shoneen Kendrick; his great grandchildren, Hayden Skantz, Jacob Skantz, Tyler Aldridge, Colton Smith, Haley Aldridge and Elijah Rushing; his wife Vera Stewart; and his brother Jimmy Stewart (Nell).
