He is survived by: his wife Betty Minyard Meriwether of Carrollton, MS; his children, William Albert Meriwether, Jr. (Ginger) of Holcomb, MS, Susan Meriwether Leake (late Jay) of Oxford, MS and James Claude Meriwether (Christina) of Carrollton, MS; his sister Shirley Meriwether Gill (G. B.) of Kilmichael, MS; his grandchildren, Hayley Rae Meriwether, William Austin Meriwether, James Wyatt Meriwether, Meredith Claire Meriwether, William Albert Meriwether, III, Alexander James Leake, Austin Meriwether, Wyatt Meriwether, Will Meriwether and Alex Leake; and his nephews, Mack Gill, Gray Gill and David DuBard. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
