It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Jean Brannan Pittman in Clarksdale, Mississippi, who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilma Gladys King Brannan and Emmett Sale Brannan; her husband Robert Daniel Pittman Sr.; her son James "Jim" Pittman; and her siblings, Joyce Spooner and Henry Brannan.
She is survived by: her son Robert Daniel (Bob) Pittman (Paula); her daughter-in-law Betty Ruth Pittman; and her grandchildren, Dana Miller (Chris), Hal Peel IV, Brian Pittman, Jeffry Peel (Rebecca), Afton Johnson, Amanda Barnett (Mark), Michelle White and Lisa Cole. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo (5281 Cliff Gookin Blvd, Tupelo, MS 38801). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her honor to the Regional Rehabilitation Center, 615 Pegram Dr., Tupelo, MS 38801.
