She was predeceased by : her parents, Spencer Hayward Yarbrough and Nancy Sue Pierce; her husband Billy Lloyd Newton; her son Spencer Lloyd Newton; and her brother Spencer Lee Yarbrough.

She is survived by : her children, Michael Lloyd Newton (Brian), Keri Newton, Sherry Douglas (Gary) and Mitzi Wyatt; her grandchildren, James Wyatt (Loralei), Courtney Wyatt-Duhan (Brittan) and Aaron Johnson (Rose); her great grandchildren, AJ Johnson, Sheldon Johnson, Everleigh Wyatt, Oakleigh Wyatt, Archer Matthews, Elliot Duhan, Lucy Duhon and Ruby Duhon; and her sisters, Katie Ann Harper, Angela Cordelia Aderholt (Audie) and Deborah Ann Pearson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
