She was predeceased by : her parents, Stephen Ellis Speights and Geneva Speights; her husband Herman Louis Crout, Sr.; and her grandson Robert Creel. She is survived by : her children, Louis "Shorty" Crout (Beth) and Connie Thompson of Columbia; her grandson Phillip Hunt of Hazel Green, Alabama; her stepgrandsons, Patrick Robertson (Stephanie) of Star and Steve Robertson (Dana) of Starkville, Mississippi; her sister Muriel McCain; and her siblings-in-law, James Bryant and Betty Speights of Columbia.
