She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Smalley and Myrtle Lena Brown Smalley; her husbands, Homer Beaty, Sr. and L. J. Hollis; and her siblings, Ed Smalley, Bud Smalley, Doris Foreman, Effie Mae Hunter and Helen Aldridge.
She is survived by: her children, Homer Beaty, Jr. (Joanne) of Columbus, MS, Virgil Beaty (Penny) of Gulf Shores, AL and Peggy Strauss of Columbus, MS; her sister Bessie Howard of Columbus, MS; and her grandchildren, Shilo Goodman (Dean), Erika Allison (Sam), Brandi Shober (Sam), T. K. Wood (Haley), Lauren King (Thomas) and Tyler Strauss. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
