We are sad to announce that on April 11, 2024, at the age of 71, Emma L. Brooks-Rockett of Columbus, Mississippi, born in Crawford, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John Brooks Sr. and Ora D. Brooks. She is survived by : her children, Felisha Brooks of Waterloo, IA, Jackie Jones of Columbus, MS, Kevin Jones of Columbus, MS, J. D. Brooks (Annie) of Columbus, MS, John Allen Brooks of Columbus, MS, Joe Brooks (Mary) of Columbus, MS, William Brooks (Linda) of Columbus, MS, Thomas Brooks (Lynnette) of Columbus, MS, Lula Brooks of Columbus, MS and Cathy Harris (Perry) of Columbus; and her grandchildren, Nautica, Nicholas, Nathan, McKenna, Malik, Mason, Kayla, Jeremiah and Kamarion. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Carter's Funeral Services - Columbus (602 14th St N, Columbus, MS 39701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Stephen Chapel M. B. Church (2008 7th Ave N, Columbus, MS 39701). A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at the Union Cemetery.
