It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernestine Cockrell (Columbus, Mississippi), born in Louisville, Mississippi, who passed away on March 9, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter White and Ida Lee Flake White; her husband John Cockrell; her daughter Jean Bullard; her grandson Jonathan Cockerell; and her siblings, Walter White, Jim White, Sally Puckett and Dale Robertson.
She is survived by: her son Frank Cockrell (Sandra) of Columbus, MS; her siblings, Fred White of Shuqualak, MS, Ethel Strait of Columbus, MS, Janie Reynolds of West Point, MS, Janelle Bracken (Jim) of Loganville, GA, Glenda Thomas of Louisville, MS and Carol Bullard (John) of Corinth, MS; and her grandchildren, Rodney Cockrell of Columbus, MS, Bethany Chaffee (Chad) of Gulf Breeze, FL, Debbie Lamison (Brain) of Porter and Dianna Fortune of Columbus, MS. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
