He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady James and Ora Mamie Ray Phillips; and his grandson Michael Adrian Carter. He is survived by: his wife Doris Dean Phillips; his children, Brenda Carter (Ken) of Caledonia, Johnny Phillips (Pam) of Steens, Jan Harris (Earl) of Columbus and Elesa Kilpatrick (David) of Caledonia; his grandsons, Neil Phillips (Susan), Brian Carter (Kelly), Chris Carter, Matt Phillips (Tracie), Chase Harris and Daniel Kilpatrick; and his great grandchildren, Trenton Carter, Tannin Carter, Tyler Carter, Griffin Phillips and Adley Phillips. He is also survived by his parents, and the Aunt and Uncle.
