He was predeceased by: his son Bennie; his parents, L. L. and Bessie; and his siblings, Louise, Lois and Arliss.
He is survived by: his children, Dottie and Davis; his wife Dorothy; his sister Cynthia Rosenquist of Dallas; his grandson Benjamin Ray; and also, Dottie, Hubert Hord of West Point and Barbara Ray of Columbus.
