He is survived by: his wife Mona; his daughter Dr. Mary Kathryn Whitson (Maggie); his nephew Mike Vispi; and his cousins, Shirley Barnes LaCoste, Cathy Barnes Downey, Ronnie Barnes, David Barnes, Johnny Barnes and Paul Barnes.
