He is survived by: his wife Elaine Spence Wierengo; his children, Johnny Wierengo (Sherri) of Birmingham, Alabama and Marcy Robinson (Terry) of Vernon, Alabama; his sister Carolyn Blythe (Cliff) of Picayune, Mississippi; and his grandchildren, John Mathen Wierengo, Dusty Freeman, Katy Freeman, Caden Robinson and Chelsea Cantrell.
