He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Walker and Onna Simpson; and his granddaughter Kristina Howell. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Gray Simpson of Columbus, MS; his children, Wanda Allred, Pamela Simpson, Charlotte and David Simpson; and his grandchildren, Brandon Simpson, Luke Anderson, Christopher Simpson and Sarah Simpson. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
