She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Madison and Isolene Evans Hussey; her grandchildren, John Sanders, Jr. (Joan), Taylor Sanders (Amanda) and Mericlare Paxton (Lee); her husband Ben Ross, Sr.; her sons, Carl Dudley Ross and Gary Ross; and her son-in-law Dr. John Sanders.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Ross Sanders McAuley (Malcolm) and Ben Ross, Jr.; her sister Jane Berryhill (Bob); and her granddaughter Wendy Hutson (Kirby).
