With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mattee Cox (Columbus, Mississippi), who passed away on February 5, 2020 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brother Willie James Turner; and her stepfather Luthaniel Clay. She is survived by: her husband John Cox; her sons, HiYon Cox (Pamela) of Columbus, OH and Patrick Cox of Columbus, MS; her grandchildren, Cynthia Cox, Jonathan Cox, Charles "Alex" Cox, Kelton Cox and Kaley Cox; and her siblings, Jerry Turner, Jr. (Bonnie) of Columbus, MS, Richard Turner (Alma) of Macon, MS, Pinkie Fullilove (Charles) of Herndon, VA, Brenda Buckhalter and Valerie Porter (Leroy) of Columbus, MS.. She is also survived by nine sisters, six brothers, four aunts, five uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
