He is survived by: his wife Verna Lee Wheeler; his children, Jeff Spence (Katie) of St. Louis, Steven McClain (Vanessa) of St. Louis and Tina Jones (Brent) of Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Jacob Haney, Timothy Spence, Amber Spence, Tyler Spence, Donovan Spence, Charlotte McClain and Miles McClain; his great grandchildren, Carter Spence and Peyton Murdock; and his siblings, Carolyn Matthews, Cathy Baggett, Peggy Sue Spence, Annie Maddox, Betty Spence, Billy Spence, Walter Spence and Mark Spence.
