He was predeceased by: his parents, James Butler and Mattie Butler; his adoptive parents, Phil Werner and Phyllis Werner; and his brothers, Charlie and Roger Dale Butler.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jerry Butler (Bessie), Bill Butler, Eddie Butler, Billy Butler, Pete Floyd (April), Donald Werner (Gwen), Beth Skelton (Richard), Mary Mayne, Donna Coleman (Roger), Susan Brown and Cassandra Teem (Shannon). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
