It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rufus Pumphrey (Columbus, Mississippi), who passed away on September 5, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie L. Pumphrey and Cornelia C. Pumphrey. He is survived by: his wife June Pumphrey; his sons, John Pumphrey (Shelia) of Pinetop, AZ and Tommy Pumphrey of Steens; and his grandchildren, Mindy Via, Dustin Pumphrey (Bridget), Chris Pumphrey (Jordan), Eben Pumphrey (Brianna), Joshua Pumphrey and Billy Scarborough. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, Memorials be made to the donor's favorite charity.
