She was predeceased by: her parents, William Brooks and Pauline Grissom Brooks; and her husband Billy McKissack. She is survived by: her sons, Mike McKissack (Debi) of Olive Branch, MS and Steve McKissack (Carol) of Columbus, MS. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
