It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thary Emerson Black (Columbus, Mississippi), who passed away on July 4, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Black; and his siblings, Billy Black, Larry Black and Joyce Dempsey. He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Harris; his granddaughter Danielle Styron (Kevin); his great grandchild Kalyn Styron; and his siblings, Kenneth Black (Wanda) and Rita Avera. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Last House on the Block in Columbus, MS or the Lowndes County Humane Society.
