She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Young and Virginia Breland Young; her husband Dorman Dowdy; and her grandson Benjamin Dowdy. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Dowdy of Wylie, TX and Rodney Dowdy of Columbus, MS; her grandsons, Nick Dowdy, Matthew Dowdy, Michael Dowdy, Justin Thurman and Dylan Cook; and her great grandchild Sophie Dowdy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
