We are sad to announce that on May 14, 2025, at the age of 73, Walter Clayton Anderson Jr. of Columbus, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Clayton and Mary Ryan Anderson; and his brother-in-law Garry Russell. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Becky" Gilliland Anderson of Columbus, MS.; his children, Sheryl Mixon (Barry) of Woodland, MS and Dr. Clay Anderson (Alicia) of Columbus, MS; his grandchildren, Taylor Mixon, Kaylee Mixon, Connor Anderson and Harper Anderson; and his siblings, Paula Gayle Russell of Kingsville, TX, Dr. Neal Anderson (Beverly) of Pontotoc, MS and Dr. Ryan Anderson (Lisa) of Carthage, MS.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.
