He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Dumas Sr. and Lucille Dumas; and his siblings, Jimmy Lee Dumas, Leon Dumas, Bernice Rice, Alander Dumas, Curtis Dumas and D. L. Dumas.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dumas of Columbus; his children, Annetria Dumas-Seward of Columbus, Keatashia Dumas of Columbus and Iziah Jones of Columbus; and his siblings, Rhone of Caledonia, Booker T. Dankins of Caledonia, Daisy L. Thomas of Columbus, Genova Nance of Columbus and Lenora Dumas-Johnson of Columbus. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
