She was predeceased by: her parents, Cranford Nelms and Lily Rogers Nelms; her husband William Street Lawson; and her siblings, Walter Nelms, Grady Nelms, Edward Nelms, Lottie Nelms, Lola Ashcraft and Vera Dixon.
She is survived by: her sister Nadine Derryberry; and her sister-in-law Brenda Nelms. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Methodist Cemetery.
