He is survived by : his wife Thelma Broussard Nickens; his daughter Penny Walker Elkins (Tommy); his grandchildren, Zachary Elkins (Natalie) and Micah Elkins (Kesler Bourgoyne); his great grandchildren, Avery and Marion Elkins; and his siblings, Claire Nickens Swain and Henry Valma Nickens (Judy).
