He is survived by: his wife Charry Gibson Ellis of Port Gibson, Mississippi; his children, Cornelius Ellis III and Corlisaceya Hurd; and his siblings, Willie Ray Ellis, Charles Lipscomb, Maxine E. Graham, Shirley E. Stampley, Sandra Faye Lipscomb, Dr. JoAnn E. Walters and Betty Ellis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
