She was predeceased by : her parents, Clifford Quarles and Sela Mae Womack Quarles; her daughter Mary Robin Deal; her brother Dicky Quarles; and her grandparents, Malvin, Mattie Boles Womack, Osborne and Hattie Vail Quarles.

She is survived by : her husband Clyde Deal; her children, Jeff Yates (Vickie) and Katherine Deale Lewis; her siblings, Linda Bryan (Jerry), Jerry Quarles (Brenda) and Doug Quarles (Sharon); and her grandchildren, Hayley Kennedy and Keia Yates. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
