He is survived by: his children, Mitzi Kirk (Massey) and William C. "Bill" Thornburg, Jr. (Tina); his grandchildren, Jonathan Dallas (Brittany), Drake Thornburg (Courtney) and Elliott Thornburg (Georgia); his great grandchildren, Haley Brooke Dallas of Greenwood, Charlie Dallas of Greenwood, Ann Grace Thornburg of Greenwood, Jane Hollins Thornburg of Greenwood, Katherine Thornburg of Greenwood, Benton Thornburg of Greenwood and Smith Thornburg of Greenwood; and his caregiver Matthew Blackmon.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Baptist Church (916 Medallion Dr, Greenwood, MS 38930). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund.
