She was predeceased by : her parents, Earl Brewer Johnson and Essie Beverly Johnson. She is survived by : her husband James Norton; her children, Deana Burns (Mark), Jason Norton (Betsy) and Sarah Norton; her grandchildren, Lauren Burns, Toby Norton, Brent Norton and Caleb Norton; and her sister Fredna Cofield. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Riemann Family Funeral Home - Gulfport (11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location.
